Sameera in a film on voyeurism!
Bollywood lass Sameera Reddy seems to have become a favourite of Bengali director Buddhadeb Dasgupta.Sameera won accolades for her performance as a woman with American dreams in Dasgupta’s previous movie Kaalpurush. Now the highly acclaimed filmmaker has signed her for his next film as well.
Titled Me, Yasim and Madhubala, the film will be about voyeurism. Sameera will play a Kathak dancer named Madhubala in the movie.
Despite the film’s apparently provocative subject (voyeurism), there won’t been anything racy or sleazy about it. The movie will explore the way new technology has invaded women’s private space.
Sameera has already begun shooting for the film, and despite her unfamiliarity with Bengali Sameera has been picking up the language very fast. She reportedly delivered an 8-page dialogue in a single shot while filming in Kolkata recently.
