Saif being sought for a film on soccer
A Bollywood director wants to make a film on football with Saif Ali Khan in the lead role. Vivek Agnihotri, who made his directorial debut last year with Chocolate, is looking forward to make a film titled Goal.In Agnihotri’s words, the film will basically be a social drama set against the backdrop of the game of soccer. The filmmaker says he has been thinking of the idea of making the film even before the world cup in Germany.
Reports say Agnihotri has approached Saif to play one of the leading roles in the film. “We are talking to him (Saif) and keeping our fingers crossed,” the director is quoted as saying.
Saif is presently committed to two projects – an Abbas Mastan thriller and Salaam Namaste director’s next film. The actor has recently turned down offers from directors like Feroz Khan (who wanted him for his Qurbani remake) and Mani Ratnam. Whether he gives his nod to Agnihotri remains to be seen.
